This page explains what we collect when you sign up for the workshop or visit this site, why we collect it, and what choices you have. We try to keep this short and plain.
Who we are
This site is operated by CopyHour Inc. If you have any question about your data, email derek@copyhour.com.
What we collect
- Your email address, when you submit the signup form.
- Basic usage data (pages viewed, approximate location from IP, device and browser type) from standard server logs and any analytics scripts we run.
- Cookies set by us or by third-party services we use (see below). Most are functional or analytics; we do not run third-party advertising trackers on this page.
Why we collect it
- To send you the workshop link, the replay, and related emails about CopyHour offers.
- To understand how the site is used so we can improve it.
- To prevent abuse of the signup form.
Who we share it with
We use a small number of third-party services to run this site and our email program. The main ones:
- Kit (formerly ConvertKit) — stores your email and sends you our emails.
- Vercel — hosts this website.
- Google Analytics — measures aggregate site traffic (pages viewed, approximate location, device type). You can opt out using Google's browser add-on.
We don't sell your data. We don't share it with anyone except the providers above and only to the extent they need it to do their job.
Your choices
- Unsubscribe from any email we send by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of that email.
- Request a copy or deletion of the personal data we hold about you by emailing derek@copyhour.com. We'll respond within 30 days.
- Cookies can be cleared or blocked in your browser settings.
How long we keep it
We keep your email on our list until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. Server logs and analytics data are kept for a limited period and then discarded or anonymized.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13 and we don't knowingly collect data from them.
Changes
If we update this policy, we'll change the date at the top of this page. Material changes will be flagged in an email to subscribers.
